You will be working in a variety of sectors including residential, care-homes, retail and industrial, among others.

Currently the team are retained by most of their clients and act as strategic guides regarding planning and development advice, to create interesting and enjoyable spaces for people to live in, work in, or utillise. At present they are at a point where they can continue working with current and upcoming projects, but they are very busy and do not ever want to turn away work nor fail to service their clients.

This hire is key to the growth of the business and could be a career-making position for the right individual. You will have freedom to grow and work across projects you may not have so far, with an increasingly well-known brand name behind you. At either level, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business going from strength to strength. In addition they have a team member going on maternity soon!

Your role will include:

  • Project leading, monitoring progress of projects and dealing with budgets, fees and invoicing
  • Appraising sites and pre-app advice for clients
  • Managing applications through the planning process and giving strategic advice
  • Coordinating project teams and sub-consultants, keeping good relationships, and promoting of collaboration with design-teams
  • Stakeholder engagement and managing of relationships with LPAs and key contacts
  • If at AD level, business generation and growth of business, ideally having some clients/contacts for future

You will ideally:

  • Have at least 5 years within town planning, and ideally some private sector experience if AD-level
  • Be a confident communicator, and a team player
  • Have excellent written skills and technical ability
  • Be keen to be part of a growing and successful boutique business

While being a North West-based role and needing a presence in their office once things are normal, this business work in a high trust manner. Refreshingly, there are no specific monetary targets – with the team and Directors motivated by excellent planning, keeping clients happy, and being a happy supportive team. You will be able to work from home a couple of days a week and continue to have a good work-life balance.

This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual – and with their pipeline of work not relenting, they are keen for this person to be in place ASAP. You will receive a competitive salary and package, with room to grow and build your career.

Please apply here or give me (Kate) a call on 07749 707060 to discuss. My client is looking to find the right candidate as soon as possible – so if in doubt, do get in touch. I also have other clients and roles that may be of interest.

If you do not hear anything back within one week, please assume that you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, but I will retain your details for future roles.
