We are rapidly expanding our staffing to enable us to rise to this challenge. The Climate Policy Officer is a new role within our Planning Policy team, linked to our strategic Sustainability team, and is designed to support development of climate-friendly planning policy and guidance, with an emphasis on the built environment such as: zero carbon new build; energy efficiency retrofitting and renewable energy. The role will also involve policy advice to other built environment services.

This role offers the opportunity for blended working and the post-holder will be expected to spend part of their week working from home.  Office time will be mainly spent in our award-winning, modern Civic Centre in Keynsham, halfway between Bath and Bristol, easily accessible on public transport, with a train station 5 minutes’ walk away.
