Job Details
I am currently working with a Local Authority client in Somerset, who are recruiting for a Senior Planning Officer on an interim basis.
Ideally they are looking for an experienced Planner who is capable of taking on a mixed caseload of planning applications, although predominately complex minor applications.
The position will be a 3 month initial contract, but it is highly likely to roll on for longer than this provided both parties are happy. They are open to considering part-time working arrangements (up to 30 hours.) This position has the flexibility to be complete remote working with no site visits, if you are the most suitable candidate. The rate is around £35 per hour, depending on previous experience.
The council are looking for a Planner with recent experience working in a Local Authority on planning applications, and who can join the team and very quickly pick up the work. The area is predominantly rural so experience with a rural setting is desired but not essential.
