Osborne Richardson have an excellent role with a Local Authority in the South West of England which is seeking a Planning Conservation Officer to take responsibility for the providing specialist advice on conservation and urban design matters relating to planning applications and to help guide new developments in the borough. Our client needs an officer with proven technical experience of working with listed buildings to work alongside them and provide expert advise and guidance. You will be responsible for handling pre-application advice, applications, negotiations with developers, appeals and enforcement work.
Applicants for this post must have a post grad qualification in Town Planning and relevant post qualification experience in a planning environment of which a significant element relates to conservation. You must also have recent experience of having held a similar role with a UK local authority.
The role is a contract post which will initially be offered for 3 months but it could be extended beyond this. The rate offered is UP TO £35/hr umbrella as this role is inside IR35. Please get in touch for a copy of the job spec and further details.
