The Planning Enforcement team comprises 3 FTE Planning Enforcement Officers receiving around 600 planning enforcement cases a year. Supported by the Planning Manager and two Senior Planners, you will be responsible for your own caseload, which will primarily involve researching site histories, carrying out site inspections, recording and collating evidence and assisting with the issuing of formal notices.

It therefore requires diplomacy, effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal with confrontational situations, and may occasionally require giving evidence at Court and/or Public Inquiries.
Experience of planning enforcement or other similar investigatory work is essential.
