Job Details
I am currently working on an exciting role on behalf of a Local Authority based in the South West who are looking to bring on a Principal Planning Officer. The role is an initial 4 month contract, although likely to be extended should everything go well.
They are looking for an experienced Planner to work within their new Town Team 3 days a week and the Major Projects Team for the other two days a week. The suitable Planner will ideally have many years’ experience dealing with large scale residential and commercial planning applications. They will be dealing with a small case load of applications but of a large scale (800+ dwellings and commercial developments.)
The rate is to be negotiated at this point, depending on previous experience. There is a need to carry out an initial visit to the area for a day to view sites but after that the role will be able to be remote. This is a full time position.
