Our client, a local authority, in London is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for managing a number of key projects to and through consultation, developing and commissioning design work, project management, financial management, consultation planning and making sure that scheme benefits are clearly communicated and shared by our diverse community.

As part of our Covid-19 Transport Response we have delivered an accelerated programme of interventions to keep our residents safe and enable people to make sustainable travel choices, avoiding a car borne recovery. Measures implemented include a number of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods and walking and cycling corridor improvements. These have been implemented as trial schemes and we are now building towards public consultation in the coming months.

The candidate

    Will demonstrate strong project management skills and a proactive approach

    Will have an understanding of best practice in the implementation of walking, cycling, and / or neighbourhood improvement schemes.

    Will demonstrate political awareness and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

    Will have a thorough understanding of the complexities of transport planning and operating in a local authority context.

    Will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external.
Please note the role is inside IR35.
