Land & Planning Manager

Have you always wanted to work on the client side, managing a large portfolio of land and look to maximise the returns of this portfolio through the use of the planning system?

One of the largest landowners in the UK is looking to appoint a Strategic Land & Planning Manager who can deliver the long-term targets for the land portfolio.

On a daily basis you will be managing sites and external consultants as you promote land through to planning consent and appropriate legal agreements with external agents and consultants. You will also be involved in the disposals and acquisitions side of the business, working closely with development surveyors, land specialists and finance business partners to get deals over the line.

The successful applicant will have worked on large-scale strategic projects and be comfortable with promoting land through the planning system, working closely with local authorities and stakeholders. You will be comfortable with managing your own complex projects and have a fantastic understanding of the UK planning system. Strong communication and interpersonal skills will allow you to thrive in the role and ideally you will be either MRICS or RTPI qualified. 

The company, a registered charity, have a major land and asset portfolio across the UK and are looking at gradually promoting their strategic land assets through the planning system before entering into agreements and deals with developers and housebuilders.
