Job Details

I am working with a Local Authority in a beautiful part of Cambridgeshire who require a skilled and experienced Principal Planner to handle a caseload of applications consisting predominantly of a Complex Minor and Major nature. Types of applications may vary from Rural to large scale Strategic Residential sites.

As well as processing these applications, you will be required to represent the Local Authority at Planning Committee and be able to capably offer expert advice to all third parties involved in the Process (for example Applicants, Councillors, the Public).

The ideal candidate will also be capable of mentoring the more Junior Officers in the team if required or permitted.

My client has stressed that although they do require an experienced candidate, they would be willing to consider applicants who are Senior Planner level. So if you feel you have suitable attributes then please don’t be put off applying.

The council are willing to offer around £40p/hr for the right candidate. There is also a strong possibility that the contract could be extended should all work out for both parties.
