Job Details
Folkestone & Hythe is a dynamic and innovative place to live, work and visit. Situated on Kent’s south east coast, just under an hour away from London via the High Speed rail link, we offer a flexible working culture, corporate membership and reward schemes, Employee Assistance Programme, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Our mission is to create a world class quality environment that will stand the test of time, whether relating to a household extension or one of our ambitious projects such as the proposed garden town at Otterpool Park and regeneration plans for the Town Centre, Harbour and Seafront. This is an exciting time to join the Council and we are looking for energetic, skilled and creative planners with drive to improve and help to shape the area. In return, we can offer you a chance to thrive, develop and make a lasting impact on our district.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, have a professionally recognised planning qualification, and either be a member of the RTPI or be eligible for membership. You will also have outstanding technical knowledge and experience of dealing with a wide range of planning and related applications. But above all else, if you’re up for the challenge of being part of a proactive, passionate, delivery focused team then we want to hear from you!
For an informal discussion regarding this role please contact Helena Payne (Strategic Sites Team Leader) on helena.payne@folkestone-hythe.gov.uk.
The closing date for receipt of all completed application forms is 9am on 17th June 2021.
