We are sustainably growing in areas to be served by Crossrail and through the delivery of one of only 15 garden settlements across the country (Dunton Hills Garden Village). We also have ambitious plans for economic growth, enhancing Brentwood Town Centre as a business and retail destination and delivering new employment land at Brentwood Enterprise Park.

You will be part of a team at the forefront of the Council’s ambitions for positive change, supporting the delivery of our new Local Development Plan and supporting the progression of the Council’s economic aims, as set out in our Economic Strategy. These are key documents that will shape the Borough’s future.

You should have strategic planning experience, a planning related qualification and be a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or eligible for membership. You will possess up-to-date knowledge of the Town and Country Planning system, national policy/guidance and legislation, able to communicate effectively, be thorough and well organised. You will be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines.
