Development Management Officer x 2 

Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst

Hours: 37 hours per week

Salary:   £27,950- £36,123 per annum (Career Grade)*   

*Starting salary will reflect level of previous experience and qualifications

In this Vital Planning role, you will enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team and handling a varied case load of planning applications, as well as preparing cases for appeals.

Your responsibilities will include visiting sites, assessing planning applications against council policy and planning legislation and investigating suspected breaches of planning control.    

Excellent Written and verbal communication skills are vital for this role as you will attend and present at planning committees, give advice and guidance to the general public and consult other authorities, organisations and departments.   

You will also need to have strong analytical and judgment skills in order to interpret information, data and plans.   

It is essential that the successful candidate has a recognised degree level qualification or Post Graduate qualification in planning with at least one year’s relevant planning experience.
