Job Details
I am working on a fascinating opportunity with a Local Authority in Central England who are looking to bring on a permanent Principal Planner to work on the HS2 project.
You will be an integral part of the HS2 team as the Lead Officer of the project, leading on all Planning matters. As a Principal Officer you will deal with the most complex request for pre-application advice and applications, engaging with representatives of other organisations at the highest level.
The council require a complete expert in their field, with strong analytical, advisory, and negotiating skills to secure good design and secure fundamental changes to the pre application schemes. It is also paramount that the successful candidate will be able to expertly deliver evidence at Public Inquiries and robustly defend the authorities’ decisions at appeal.
This is unique opportunity like no other I have come across with a chance to implement and influence on all HS2 applications and be an integral part of design for the HS2 project.
The salary is negotiable at this stage but will fall between £45,000 and £50,000 per annum.
