We are a looking for an experienced and passionate landscape and urban design specialist to work in our City Development service. The service will be delivering on Exeter’s exciting agenda of high quality development and excellent design, enhancing the city’s outstanding environment and achieving net zero carbon by 2030. The fantastic quality of Exeter’s built environment and landscape setting are vital assets and will play a central role for the city as it continues to grow.  

As the principal project manager, you would be the Council’s lead specialist on urban design and landscape. This varied role would provide vital advice to inform planning decisions, input into key evidence for the preparation of the new local plan and deliver high quality environmental enhancement schemes.
