ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICER – COMMUNITY RENEWAL FUND

Job Description

An exciting new position has opened with a local authority in the West to join their exciting economic development team to help process the community renewal fund.

You will aim to deliver the project of the funding to tackle challenges through;

  • Investment in skills
  • Investment in local business
  • Investment in communities and place
  • Supporting people into employment

Day to day responsibilities:

  • Respond to queries from stakeholders and help manage information on webpage
  • Based on the published guidance & in line with data protection rules devise and undertake initial appraisal of projects
  • Understand what is required of the bid submission
  • Help populate and feed information into the bid – reviewing local policy
  • Manage information required initially for independent appraisal and then the shortlisting panel
  • Prepare formal submission
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation process
  • Other associated economic development duties

Requirements:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Government Funding processes
  • Experience of preparing successful Government funding bids
  • Analytical skills to understand and assess project proposals
  • Experience of Economic Development related projects
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Have access to basic MS Office software (Word, Excel & Outlook)

Contract Details:

  • Rate DOE
  • Full time 37 hours PW
  • Starting 12th April 2021
  • 100% Remote

The rates for this role will be negotiated depending on the individual experience and will be discussed at interview stage.
