(M2) £35,744 - £38,889 a year plus £4,000 Market Supplement
The £4000 Market Supplement amount will take effect from 1st April 2021 for two years.
About the job
An exciting opportunity is now available within the Sustainable Development service where you’ll work in the Planning Policy team, including on the Luton Local Plan, neighbouring Local Plans Supplementary Planning Documents, monitoring and more.
You’ll contribute to the progressing of the Local Development Scheme and the documents identified in the Scheme.
You’ll formulate and interpret planning policy and proactively engage and collaborate with communities, businesses and local organisations.
Excellent communication skills are vital for this role as you’ll be required to take the lead on discussions with the public, as well as negotiating and persuading developers and other agencies.
You must have the ability to formulate and deliver policies and project implementation.
You’ll have knowledge of the principles and practice of town and country planning and local authority planning responsibilities.
To be successful in this role you must have a degree or diploma in town and country planning or an equivalent qualification or equivalent experience in the field.
This is a public facing role so you’ll need to show off your fluency in speaking and writing English.
