Town Planning Consultant – DCO

An SME multidisciplinary are looking to add to their development consent order (DCO) town planning team in Birmingham.

Opportunity

Based in the West Midlands, you’ll be joining one of the leading planning teams delivering DCOs for HS2. You’ll utilise a range on knowledge to successfully write these reports and see them through the planning system, including project management, EIA and environmental knowledge and town planning experience. Working alongside a number of other consultants and senior members of staff all providing support, you’ll play a major role in the development of this NSIP.

This consultancy provides a variety of services including project management, cost management and environmental reports, in addition to the DCO team that works nationwide. They have an enviable list of clients and given the continued funding for major projects they have seen their team achieve significant growth over the past few years, including 2020. They offer flexible and home working solutions – for this role they would want you in the office (when safe) 2/3 days a week.

Role Requirements

• Preferably strong development consents orders (DCO) expertise, but any background combing town planning, environmental planning and project management skills will be considered.
• Degree in Town Planning or Environmental (EIA) Services.
• The ability to commute to Birmingham to work there 2-3 days a week (options for staying overnight can be discussed). You must be a car owner.
