Head of Planning

Vivid are working exclusively with an client based in Greater Manchester in their search for a head of planning on a permanent basis. The position is based in a fast growing and developing area, and has good transport links. Vivid have worked alongside this client for a number of years now, and it's an excellent opportunity to join a forward thinking and dynamic team with a supportive and collaborative management structure. 

The position will involve managing the development management, planning policy, conservation, planning enforcement and planning support function. Desired from applicants would be experience in both development management and planning policy, but this is not essential. The successful candidate can expect to work almost fully autonomously, and to have a high level of influence in what is a very exciting area to work in at the moment. 

The position is offering a salary of £60-65k, and is offering a flexible working routine, inclusive of flexi-hours and home working. The client are keen to get the right candidate into the position, and although someone with prior experience at head of planning level would be desirable for such a role, it is not essential.
