Temporary (3 years)

Location: Ty Dewi Sant, St. David’s Business Park, Ewloe, Deeside and working from home.

Smaller towns across the UK have faced challenging economic circumstances for many years and this will be intensified following the Covid-19 crisis. Flintshire’s town centres have not been immune to this and the Council is embarked upon an ambitious strategy to support the revival of town centres and to diversify their uses to facilitate a more sustainable future.

This role will play a crucial part, as part of the Council Enterprise and Regeneration team, in regenerating town centres and helping them to adapt to a new future. The post holder will work closely with the business community in each town to better understand their needs in order to inform the work of the team and of wider partners. The post holder will also help businesses to access the support that is available to them. The post holder will also play a key role in promoting the work of the service and in effectively communicating with town centre stakeholders. The post holder will support the team in delivering a wide range of exciting regeneration projects across all of Flintshire’s towns.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and a track record of using social media for professional purposes.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.
