Planner - Full time post

Salary range £24,677 - £41,205 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a full time post working in one of our Development Management Area Teams to help deliver the Councils planning applications service.

Bromley is the largest London Borough by area and is diverse in character, ranging from urban development in the north of the Borough to large areas of Green Belt to the south.   The Council is implementing its Local Plan following adoption in January 2019 but faces ongoing challenges and development pressures including London wide housing requirements.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deal with a caseload of varied and challenging planning applications and pre-application enquiries.

We are looking for a qualified Planner (RTPI member or eligible) and preferably someone with relevant experience working in Development Management in a Local Authority environment.  The successful candidate will be highly organised, self-motivated and will be an effective team worker.

For an informal discussion on this post, please contact Jake Hamilton, Head of Development Management, on 020 8313 4802 (email jake.hamilton@bromley.gov.uk)

We are also advertising a part time version of this role also.

We are committed to achieving equal opportunities in employment and service delivery.

We offer a generous package including competitive pay, local government pension scheme, flexible working practices and the Bromley Employee benefits scheme; Cycle2Work, Salary Sacrifice Lease Cars, Technology Scheme and a wide range of unique discounts.
