Grade: K - £50,826 - £57,171 per annum 
Hours: Full-time, 36 hours per week 
Contract: Fixed-term contract for up to 12 months (maternity leave cover)

About the role
Kingston is at a key stage in the preparation of the new Local Plan, having carried out Reg 18 early engagement an ambitious further engagement programme is planned for next year.  The role requires an experienced policy planner to lead the team and work closely with Members to orchestrate an effective engagement process to inform the preparation of the draft plan for consultation.

About you
Candidates should have a degree in Town Planning, a similar/ relevant degree e.g geography, or a good standard of secondary education with a demonstrable interest in town planning. You should be able to demonstrate competence in plan reading and a capability to understand and apply technical guidance and legislation, be self-motivated and be prepared to work as part of a team.

You will be expected to work under your own initiative, meet tight deadlines and be computer literate, with an aptitude to learn and promote new system technologies.
