Melton Borough Council Development Management Team has recently undertaken a Planning Service Review and made some significant and innovative changes to the way it works.
Three key positions have been added to our busy Development Management team ideal for enthusiastic professionals wishing to work in a new and exciting way whilst promoting change for the Borough Council.
We have big ambitions and need motivated and innovative individuals to become part of our team, leading on a different approach to Development Management and allowing you to think creatively outside the box. We’re trying to do things differently, moving away from adversarial challenges and a bureaucratic straight jacket, using meaningful engagement and pursuit of consensus. We have reviewed processes so that our efforts benefit the customer and the outcome, not just the rule book.
The postholder will form part of an existing highly motivated and energetic Development Management Team, dealing with a varied caseload of planning applications with a career path in place and commitment to develop you further.
We are seeking experienced and motivated planning professionals with a wide range of well-developed planning skills and knowledge and a track record in delivery. Applicants should be willing to embrace new ways of working and committed to securing quality sustainable growth.
Melton Mowbray is renowned as the Rural Capital of Food and has strong ambitions for growth which promote very significant development opportunities. The Council is expanding its team to support the delivery of this important service area whilst allowing for the professional development and progression of the successful candidates within the team.
If you are committed to shaping our environment and delivering sustainable growth at an ambitious rural Local Planning Authority we would be pleased to hear from you.
