We are looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to lead our busy and high performing planning team through a large and diverse caseload including major housing, employment, retail and regeneration proposals. The postholder will provide technical and operational direction including budgetary, performance and change management responsibilities as well as taking overall responsibility for planning decision-making and outcomes.

You must have substantial experience of dealing with large scale and complex planning proposals, be well practised in negotiating at a senior level with developers and influencing key decision-makers and be highly committed to performance management and customer service. You will have experience of leading teams, budgetary responsibilities and have the ability to inspire and develop others.
