With a strong and increasing current workload and continued growth expected, we are now looking for Senior and Principal Planners to join our established Planning teams across England and Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an innovative and ambitious group with city centre offices in Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh, Manchester, London, and Reading.
Stantec is a truly multi-disciplinary consultancy; this role will give you exposure to an interesting and diverse range of projects, allow you to develop new business relationships and deliver excellence for our public and private sector clients. Our Planning team is critical to our multi-disciplinary approach and is involved in a range of high-profile strategic place, economic, transport, energy, community, regeneration and other infrastructure projects.
You will be involved in the Planning team's ongoing development, becoming part of our leadership team to build our client relationships so we continue to provide them with market leading advice and services. You will have project development and management responsibility and will work with other team members to develop their skills.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Project support through management, analysis and delivery; and delegation of appropriate tasks to junior staff
- Mentoring junior staff and colleagues
- Maintaining and building positive client relationships, helping to capture new opportunities
Degree-qualified and a member of the RTPI (or equivalent), you will have experience in a planning and development environment, with strong understanding and experience of public and private sector development and the planning system in either England or Scotland.
You'll be highly conversant in development management, strategic planning and other aspects of planning including public and stakeholder consultation and will use your strong networking skills to help attract new business opportunities.
