Senior/Principal Planning Officer

Vivid are working with a Somerset based LPA who're looking for a Senior-Principal Planning Officer to join the team, initially for 6 months but this comes with a strong view for extension. 

The role will be to deal with a mix of minor and major applications, which will usually cap at around 70 units. There may, however, be opportunity to deal with larger applications. 

You must have experience of, and be confident with, dealing with major applications, ideally within a local authority setting. 

Rates will depend on experience but will fall in the range of £35-£40/hr. All reports and meetings can be done from home, with the requirement to travel to the area being for site visits. 

The authority are looking for someone to start within the next couple of weeks.
