I am currently working on an exciting role with a Local Authority based in Somerset. They are looking to bring on a Principal/Senior Planning Officer on an initial 6 month contract.

The suitable Planner will be dealing with a range of applications, rural and urban. The caseload will typically consist of mostly infill and edge of settlement schemes with some larger schemes.

Ideally, they want a beginning of February start and it is an initial 6 month contract but it could roll on longer if everything goes well.

The manager is happy to offer a wealth of remote working with a view of visiting the district for site visits. The rate is around £37 per hour, depending on previous experience.
