Town Planner – Client Side

A property consultancy specialising in developing environmental sites is looking to expand its planning team.

Role

This role will see you working across a full range of planning works, from pre-site assessments, site visits, writing planning applications, project managing, discharging conditions and public consultation. You will work closely with the wider land and planning team, presenting internally opinions on sites and then taking them through the planning process, with a focus on developing renewable energy land use. Your focus will be on projects UK wide, working from home during the pandemic and moving back to their central London office later in the year.

This property consultancy acquires sites around the world to develop renewable energy projects. This role will see you focus on projects in the UK and Ireland but you’ll work closely with the wider global planning team as well. The culture of this team in particular is a relaxed but focused one, they have fun but work hard and have achieved great success, even throughout 2020. This is a great company for a young planner to further develop their skill set.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years’ planning experience post degree, preferably in the public sector but private sector backgrounds will also be considered.
• A hard working, commercially minded approach to teamwork and planning. This is a supportive environment but not one where your hand can be held – you’ll be tasked with being a self-starter with the projects you’ll be given.
• Good communicator who enjoys dealing with a wide team and sub-contractors.
