Planner - Principal Planner

Are you an experienced Planner or Principal Planner with an interest in waste and minerals? Do you have experience in dealing with large-scale projects across the UK and think that you need to move on to further progress your skills? A major aggregate business is looking for a Principal Planner to work on new schemes and developments nationwide.

As a Planner or Principal Planner your role will be to prepare and submit planning applications for the company, project managing specialist teams and ensure permissions are obtained on time and to budget. You will be able to work independently but provide regular and effective reporting of progress to the Planning Manager and D&E Managers. The role will be tasked with preparing, submitting and managing priority development projects. It will involve working closely with the project manager and other internal specialists to formulate the applications and ensure they are delivered in accordance with the development plan.

With 3 - 10 years` experience, you will ideally have worked in both private sector and local authority and have a strong interest in minerals Planning and/or experience of Environmental Impact Assessment and managing of complex projects. You will be comfortable in dealing with external consultants, managing your own internal work and have a strong understanding of the UK planning system.
