Job Details

Location: Ty Dewi Sant, St. David’s Business Park, Ewloe, Deeside and working from home

Smaller towns across the UK have faced challenging economic circumstances for many years and this will be intensified following the Covid-19 crisis. Flintshire’s town centres have not been immune to this and the Council is embarked upon an ambitious strategy to support the revival of town centres and to diversify their uses to facilitate a more sustainable future.

This role will play a crucial part, as part of the Council Enterprise and Regeneration team, in regenerating town centres and helping them to adapt to a new future. The post holder will work closely with partners, property owners, businesses and other stakeholders to develop and deliver regeneration programmes and projects including: improvements to the public realm; property and site redevelopment; business support initiatives; and facilitating town centre investment by the private and public sector.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering projects, ideally in regeneration, and will have excellent programme and project management skills and communication skills.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable.

For an informal discussion please contact Niall Waller Enterprise and Regeneration Manager on 01352 702137 or niall.waller@flintshire.gov.uk

Closing date: 15 February 2021.

The Council recognises that the ability to communicate in Welsh is an important and valuable skill in the workplace and is committed to increasing the numbers of bilingual employees. We welcome applications for any post from candidates who are able to work in both Welsh and English. We will also support new and existing employees who wish to learn Welsh or improve /develop their Welsh language skills.

Part time, job share and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
