You will join the Council’s planning team, working with friendly and supportive colleagues and dealing with a wide variety of planning work relating to the future growth of our borough with a particular emphasis on dealing with major and strategic planning applications and supporting junior members of staff.

Decisiveness and ambition for our borough are key qualities in this role so that you discharge our important statutory functions, play a key role in advising on and facilitating effective service delivery.

A keen collaborator and team player, you will have the ability to work across the planning function of the Council; with the opportunity to work within the development management, enforcement and strategic policy and implementation teams.

As a strong communicator and negotiator, verbal and written, you will undertake all areas of planning for the local authority, including attending developer meetings and committees.
