A major aggregate business is looking for a Principal Planner to work on new schemes and developments nationwide.
As a Principal Planner, your role will be to prepare and submit planning applications for the company, project managing specialist teams and ensure permissions are obtained on time and to budget. You will be able to work independently but provide regular and effective reporting of progress to the Planning Manager and D&E Managers. The role will be tasked with preparing, submitting and managing priority development projects. It will involve working closely with the project manager and other internal specialists to formulate the applications and ensure they are delivered in accordance with the development plan.
With anything up to 10 years’ experience, you will ideally have worked in both the private sector and local authority and have a strong interest in minerals Planning and/or experience of Environmental Impact Assessment and managing of complex projects. You will be comfortable in dealing with external consultants, managing your own internal work and have a strong understanding of the UK planning system.
