Job Details
A Local Authority based in Essex are seeking an Interim Senior or Principal DM Planner to assist the team for an initial 3 month period.
My client requires a skilled and experienced Planner to handle a caseload of applications consisting predominantly of a Complex Minor and Major nature. Types of applications may vary from Rural Greenbelt, to large scale Strategic Residential sites.
As well as processing these applications, you will be required to represent the Local Authority at Planning Committee and be able to confidently offer expert advice to all third parties involved in the Process. For instance, applicants, Councillors and the public.
The ideal candidate will also be capable of mentoring the more Junior Officers in the team if required or permitted.
The council are willing to offer between £40 and £45 an hour for the right candidate. There is also a strong possibility that the contract could be extended should all work out for both parties.
