Job Details

David Lock Associate is recruiting Associate and Senior Associate level planners to join our busy and innovative company.  If you have over 7 years’ development management experience, in either the private or public sector, and want a new challenge with the opportunity to work on and lead a variety of interesting projects, in a supportive environment, then why not join us?

About us

David Lock Associates is an independent town planning and urban design consultancy with a reputation for delivering successful, commercially aware projects at all scales. Based in Milton Keynes for more than 30 years, we handle a diverse range of exciting projects from large new settlements through to urban regeneration projects, urban extensions, policy formulation and community consultation. We are part of an integrated team, practicing alongside talented urban designers, and together we deliver outstanding results for our private and public sector clients.

Our motivation is our desire to use our combined skills and experience in spatially-led planning, working collaboratively with trusted partners, to help deliver great and sustainable places where communities can grow and prosper.

What’s on offer

We aim to provide opportunities for talented people to achieve great things. We employ people who like to be stretched, and who are not afraid to express an opinion or step forward to take on new challenges. Our low staff turnover is a good indicator of the potential to grow a fulfilling and stimulating career here, whilst building rewarding professional relationships and lasting friendships.

In return, we offer competitive salaries, generous pension contributions, annual profit share, up to 30 days annual leave, flexible working arrangements, a cycle to work scheme, mobility allowance, a medical insurance scheme and many other benefits. Our business is 100% owned by an Employee Benefit Trust on behalf of our employees, which means we all share in the rewards of our work.
