To help with the growth of Lanpro we are now looking for Associate to Director level planners to join our London, Chelmsford, Cambridge, York, Norwich and Manchester offices. We will also consider applications from other geographical areas.
Your role may include:
- New business generation and building on the strategic organic growth of the business, bringing clients (old or new)
- Leading and managing teams in our regional centres
- Pitching for new business and collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team and other external consultants
- Key client management and developing relationships with existing clients
- Attending client meetings and general contribution to the development of a multi-disciplinary business
- Acting as project lead, delegating work to project teams, monitoring progress and dealing with budgets
- Overseeing the delivery of high quality outputs (and in accordance with our ISO accreditations)
- Dealing with complex planning strategies and negotiations and providing overview of planning reports and applications
- Managing and overseeing the production of Environmental Impact Assessments
- Appraising sites and identifying development opportunities for clients
- Tendering and working on public sector projects
- A focus on multidisciplinary working and new business winning
- Stakeholder engagement and managing of relationships with LPAs and key contacts
- Staff management, leading on recruiting, training, CPD and assessing performance of employees within team
You will ideally:
- Have at least 10 years’ experience within town planning, with the most recent role being in consultancy
- Be MRTPI
- Be capable of managing a challenging and varying workload
- Have a track-record in work-winning, and a client following either in the short or medium term
- Be familiar with a range of business sectors such as property (strategic land, residential, commercial, care etc.), energy and renewables; public sector; education; infrastructure; leisure
- Be a confident communicator, and good team leader with management experience
- Have excellent written skills and technical ability
- Understanding of commercial matters and delivering work within budget.
