Planning Officer - Place Shaping

Osborne Richardson have an excellent opportunity for a Planning Officer to join our Local Authority clients Place Shaping Team. You will assist the team in producing and delivering a wide range of planning policies and strategies and you will also be involved with the delivery of strategic initiatives such as improving town centres and all planning project work.

You will work independently to assess, negotiate and set out clear and robust recommendations in an accurate, well written officer report based on relevant planning policies and other material considerations, with minimal supervision.

Applicants for this role must have a post-graduate qualification in urban design, architecture or a related discipline, experience of working in within a local authority design and conservation service and a comprehensive and detailed understanding of planning legislation and policy at national, London and local planning authority level. you will need to have good communication skills and the confidence to take on a role that will require you to engage with a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally to the Council.

This contract will initially be offered for 3 months though it could be extended and the rate offered is £25/hr (inside IR35). Please contact us for further information including a copy of the JD.
