Planning Policy Team Leader REF: POSN

Grade J: £47,664.50 - £50,858.00 per annum 

37 hours per week, permanent

The Job:

We are an ambitious, growth focused organisation with commitments to healthy place-shaping and climate action.  We are a signatory to the Oxfordshire Housing and Growth Deal which supports £215m of investment for new homes and infrastructure across Oxfordshire. We have three urban areas all with planned growth situated within the Oxford-Cambridge Arc.

We are looking for a high quality candidate to lead production of our Local Plan and other planning policy work.  Having recently adopted a Partial Review of the Plan, we have commenced work on a new, district-wide review.  We are a partner in the production of the Oxfordshire Plan 2050 working closely with neighbouring authorities. We have an experienced Planning Policy Team which is actively engaged with our other services, communities, partners, and neighbouring authorities.

The Person:

We need someone with the skills, drive and commitment to lead and prepare our plans.  We need a Team Leader who will be proactive in delivering Council objectives, who will work well with Members, partners and all our planning teams.  We need someone who is delivery focused, innovative and highly adept in group working and problem solving.
