I am currently working on an exciting role with a Local Authority based in the South West region. They are looking to bring on a Principal Planning Officer on an initial 6 month contract but it could roll on to as long as a year!
The Planner will be dealing with a significant strategic major urban extension and therefore the suitable candidate should have experience on strategic schemes. Experience working on up to 1,000 homes is desired. A Town Planning related degree or diploma, and exceptional written and communication skills are essential.
The rate is up for negotiation, depending on previous experience. The IR35 is undetermined at this point, so there is a possibility for it to go OUTSIDE IR35. The manager is happy to offer a wealth of remote working with a view of visiting the district one or two times a month for meetings.
