A Local Authority in the South West region are looking to welcome a part time Senior Planning Officer to the team on a contract basis. The contract will run for an initial 4 month contract, with a view to be extended, should everything go well.

They are looking for a Senior Planning Officer to start shortly. The successful candidate will have experience of dealing with major planning applications for residential and commercial development, non-material amendment applications and applications for compliance with condition, as well as experiencing of drafting and negotiating S106 agreements. They should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and have experience of writing application reports and committee reports, as well as presenting to a planning committee.

The rate of pay is to be negotiated depending on previous experience. The position is a part time role (22 hours) and they are happy for the suitable candidate to do compressed working hours and remote working. You will need to have a full driver's licence and access to a car for the occasional site visit.
