Senior Planner

As a Senior Planner you will work on a caseload of planning applications including small major apps cases. You will be expected to deliver a busy workload of more routine applications whilst also working to progress more complicated applications in a clear and precise manner, serving to provide detailed information to all parties whilst also ensuring development is in line with the Council's planning policy and long term objectives.

For this role, our client requires an accomplished Town Planner with a proven track record manging planning applications in a local authority context. They need someone who is confident, with excellent UK planning knowledge and the ability to work under minimal supervision.

The role is based with our Local Authority client in Dorset and will be offered for 22 hours a week, initially for 3 months but could be extended. This will be a home working role though you will be expected to carry out site visits so will require access to your own vehicle.
