An excellent opportunity for a Transport Planner to take up a contract role with our local authority client in Oxfordshire. Our client requires a Transport Planner to join them and work closely with District Councils in the County to ensure that the Counties transport infrastructure and service requirements are taken into account by District Councils when considering Local Plans and major planning applications.
The post holder will also provide professional expert advice on transport infrastructure for charging schedules for the Community Infrastructure Levy and pre-application discussions on strategic development proposals. Your will also be responsible for the development, commissioning and implementation of transport planning studies (including those conducted by external consultants).
To apply you will need to have a degree qualification in a subject related to transport planning and able to demonstrate experience of working with a working in a Transport/Planning environment, ideally with a Local Authority. It is essential that you have a good understanding of the role traffic, transport, engineering and scheme design, including parking, land use planning, urban design, and road safety have in delivering the priorities of a Local Authorities in areas such as sustainability and regeneration.
This has initially been released as a 5 month contract but could be extended and the rate offered is up to £25/hr (inside IR35). Please get in touch for further details.
