Senior / Principal Planner

Senior / Principal DM Planner required for Central London based Local Authority. Long Term Contract - £32ph+

Your new company
Central London based Borough who are looking for a passionate Senior or Principal level Planner to join the applications team.

Your new role
You will be dealing with a mixture of householder applications and small-scale Majors. This is a stand alone role as will be working from home so you will need to be comfortable progressing applications with minimal supervision.

What you'll need to succeed
Understand the principles of excellent design and place-making and have experience to advise on how to achieve high quality infill development within a dense urban context. Assess complex applications that requires a careful balance of competing planning policies, paying careful attention to detail and delivering high quality work Apply the heritage assessment considerations (statutory tests and NPPF tests) in relation to conservation areas, listed buildings and other heritage assets Work under pressure, manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines. Work productively with stakeholders including residents, councillors, contractors and other partners.
