Our client is a Local Authority in the London and they are seeking an experienced Team Leader for their Enforcement Team. Overseeing a team of Enforcement Officers you will assist them in managing their workload within agreed timescales and within expected delivery targets. You will also be heavily involved in improving enforcement processes, documentation and forming working relationships with other parts of the council.
You will also assist with negotiations on development proposals to achieve outcomes required to meet the Council's objectives. You will also be required to provide timely and relevant advice in relation to developments to Council members, relevant Committees, Public Inquiries, public meetings and local people, ensuring a high standard of customer service.
Applicants for this post must be qualified Town Planners with extensive enforcement experience within a local authority town planning team. Your strong technical knowledge of UK planning legislation will need to be complimented with good management skills and the confidence and ability to direct a team. Critical to this role will be the ability to communicate effectively and to engage in negotiations that can often be sensitive and complex so you will need to be able to engage productively with third parties to develop good relationships that ensure successful development.
The role has initially been released as a 3 month contract though it's likely to be extended and the rate offered will depend on your experience but is expected to be up to £40/hr (inside IR35). Please contact us for further details.
