Senior Planner - Associate Planner | South Wales | Consultancy

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a small but successful (and growing!) Consultancy in South Wales on the hire of a senior-level planning professional at Senior, Principal or Associate level.

Join a highly regarded Consultancy in the heart of Cardiff and help serve a broad range of clients throughout Wales & England. Projects fall in a variety of sectors including Residential, Mixed-Use, Commercial/Employment, Retail, Leisure/Tourism and Renewables.

The successful candidate will fit in with the existing team to provide support on a range of projects across the country, as well as taking on your own clients and managing your own caseload. In this role you will support your clients by providing a number of planning-related services, including;

-Preparation and management of planning applications

-Planning appeals

-Site appraisals

-Planning Strategies

-S106 negotiation

-Land identification

-Development plan promotion

-Pre-application advice

-Community engagement

-Discharging of planning conditions



In order to considered for interview, you will hold a relevant qualification (town planning or similar), be chartered with the RTPI or be close to submitting and hold 4 years of planning experience. Private sector experience in particular is preferable. You should be a self-motivated, confident Planner with strong communication skills with ambitions to develop within the practice. You will hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.

Training & Development

The role will include ongoing coaching from the leaders of the business who will work with you to help you realise your professional goals.
