Senior Environmental Planner - North Bristol
HA 9070
Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
Our client, a leading international multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Environmental Planner to work out of their offices based just North of Bristol. Working as an integral part of their growing team the successful Senior Environmental Planner will help their clients by providing environmental support for their major planning submissions, strategic environmental assessments and environmental impact assessments.
Suitable candidates for this role will:
- Have a relevant MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant environmental discipline
- Have demonstrable experience of working within / leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Have extensive project management experience
- Have previous public engagement experience
- Have experience of working on Impact Assessments within consenting regimes
- Have excellent working knowledge of all stages of Impact Assessments, from land acquisition, options appraisals and planning submissions
Within the role the successful Environmental Planner will:
- Be delivering expert services for their clients by helping them manage their environmental planning risks
- Managing commercial aspects of projects
- Preparing and submitting applications for a variety of environmental and renewable energy sites
- Coordinating project stakeholders to maximise environmentally responsible outcomes
- Liaising with senior staff, clients and stakeholders
- Mentoring junior members of staff
