Would you like to join a thriving firm of chartered surveyors, planners and property advisors and work on projects across the South East?
Join a leading firm of rural surveyors in the county and work out of one of their offices near Southend and Basildon. Our client's strength lies in the depth of expertise across the rural property sector, with their planning department being integral to their success. The team of expert planners works closely with the land development team and the professional advisors to generate creative planning and diversification opportunities for their clients. This job offers the right candidate a welcoming and supportive working environment, where hard work is recognised and rewarded.
Ideal Candidate
-Have previous planning experience gained in either a planning consultancy or the public sector
-MRTPI or RTPI accredited qualification
-Have an interest in rural planning
-Be an imaginative problem solver
-Have a strong ability to communicate articulately and accurately in person and in writing
-Be dynamic and ambitious and keen to take on responsibility
Job Role
-Deliver expert planning advice to a wide range of clients on varied sites
-Preparation of planning applications, appeals and site appraisals
-Provide effective project management of external consultant teams whilst fulfilling clients' needs
-Creative problem solving of clients' planning issues
-Monitoring and preparation of local plan representations
-Manage own workload effectively but reporting as part of a team
Training & Development
The role will include ongoing coaching from the Planning Director who will work with you to help you realise your career objectives.
