Senior Enforcement Officer

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Gloucestershire in their search for a Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their Planning department on an initial 3-month contract.
The authority are looking for an experienced Planning Enforcement professional who can come in and handle complex planning enforcement cases with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will be able to undertake thorough investigations, populate the electronic caps system with case notes, negotiate resolution of breaches of planning control with tact and diplomacy and write reports for planning committee seeking authorisation to undertake enforcement action.
A comprehensive knowledge of Planning and particularly Planning enforcement legislation and procedures will be required with an ability to mentor the junior enforcement assistant within the team.
Customer care is fundamental to the role and my client are looking for a firm but fair person who can react to the specific circumstances of each case.
 
It would be beneficial, although not mandatory, to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have considerable experience in a similar position; and also hold a licentiate membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (or equivalent).
 
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - £30-£40 Per Hour
