Planning Consultant | Basildon, Essex | Full-time or Part-time
A thriving firm of chartered surveyors, planners and property advisors near Basildon is seeking to appoint a Planning Consultant with 2-4 years of planning experience. This job offers the right candidate a welcoming and supportive working environment, where hard work is recognised and rewarded.
You will become an integral part of the planning team who will work closely with other areas of the business, across two further offices to generate creative planning and diversification opportunities for your clients.
In order to apply for this role you should have 2-4 years planning experience gained in either a planning consultancy or the public sector. You should be MRTPI or working towards it and have an interest in rural planning. Key skills include being an imaginative problem solver and the ability to communicate articulately and accurately in person and in writing. You should be able to demonstrate drive and determination to secure your clients the results they seek. The company is looking to speak with candidates who are ambitious and keen to take on responsibility.
Duties include;
-Deliver expert planning advice to a wide range of clients on varied sites
-Preparation of planning applications, appeals and site appraisals
-Provide effective project management of external consultant teams whilst fulfilling clients' needs
-Creative problem solving of clients' planning issues
-Monitoring and preparation of local plan representations
-Manage own workload effectively but reporting as part of a team
