Our client is a Local Authority who requires a Planning Policy Officer to assist them with the preparation, monitoring and review of their Local Plan. You will also assist with progressing all aspects of the neighbourhood plans and other policy matters. You will support the day to day administration and data management for the Forward Planning Section.
Candidates will ideally have either Planning Policy or Development Management experience but recent graduates with some relevant work experience will also be considered as you do not need to be a chartered town planner. You will need to be well organised with good data management skills and the ability to manage a large amount of complex information and good communication skills are essential. A degree in Town Planning is required.
This role is based in Essex and will initially run until March 2021. The rate will be between £15/hr - £23/hr umbrella depending on experience (this role is inside IR35). Please get in touch for further details.
