Job Details
My South east based local authority client is looking for an interim Economic Development Manager for a 6 month period. Responsibilities would include:
- Programme manage major regeneration schemes and priority projects within the growth programme in partnership with Councillors, the Management Team, Business Unit Leaders, other priority project leads, and community and business stakeholders to lead and deliver regeneration;
- Lead on the development and implementation of an Interim Economic and Sustainability Recovery Plan and lead on a refresh of the Economic Development Strategy;
- Lead on identifying inward investment and income opportunities and representing the council to public and private sector agencies to maximise inward investment to support delivery of spatial and economic development
- Plan, manage and control multiple project schedules and oversee the completion of deliverables to cost and timescale deadlines;
- Prepare reports for submission to and lead briefings on projects to governance boards, Cabinet, Scrutiny and Council meetings
