Senior Planner

Our client is a Local Authority located in East Anglia who require a Senior Planner to join them for a contract role. You will be joining a large and forward thinking local authority and will be fully involved with all aspects of development management case work. Our client is keen to give people the chance to take on roles with a high level of responsibility and you will be expected to show enthusiasm towards further development of your own skills.

Predominately you will be managing a caseload of complex minor and small major applications (although not Strategic majors) and you'll need to be relatively comfortable with, negotiating S106 legal agreements, etc. The successful candidate in this role will be an established DM Planner who has worked with a local authority previously so understands the challenges faced in the public sector. Ideally you will be RTPI accredited but it is not totally essential. An appropriate degree level qualification is required.

The role is will be offered for 6 month initially though it could be extended and the rate offer is up to £35/hr umbrella (negotiable depending on experience). Given this particular client's extensive work programme it's highly likely this contract will roll on for some time. This will be a home working role. Please get in contact for further information
